Got a bad Sunburn?!
Here is a great old time remedy for that nasty Sunburn.....VINEGAR! I know, aloe vera is cooling, Noxema is wonderful, but why not head to your kitchen cupboard and just grab some Vinegar?!
You can use either distilled, white or apple cider...it doesn't really matter. Just place some on a rag or in a spray bottle and place all over your Sunburn. It will take away that burn almost immediately!

My mother used this on us, and I used it on my kids too! It works, it's cheap, and it's easily accessible. Great idea to share!
ReplyDeletethat's what my husband uses! he takes a really hot shower first, then dabs on the vinegar with a cotton ball :)
ReplyDeleteThat is what we always used as a kid. Took the sting out of it too. xxxRobby
ReplyDeleteOh yes, this works great!!! (Even if it is a little smelly!) Thanks for sharing. Dawn
ReplyDeleteWho would have guessed!!
ReplyDeleteI have done that!! Don't like the smell, but it's better than the burn!! Julie
ReplyDeleteMy grandmother used that on me but the one that works and no smell is cold milk, salt and ice cube in a bowl. Dip a wash cloth squeeze the cloth lightly and lay the cloth on the sunburn. It draws out the heat.
ReplyDeleteBeing a redhead I've been burnt more times that I'd like to remember.

Great tip, my friend is allergic to aloe vera, I wonder if she knows this about vinegar!

We LOVE vinegar for so many things around the house! We have been using the Topricinkids on our kiddos for all kinds of things (bee stings, aches and pains and it works on sunburns etc) and it is all natural! We love natural products- so thanks for this advice! smilinggreenmom
ReplyDeleteI am a redhead and live in a house of redheads and I can swear by this.It takes the heat out very fast.
