Thursday's "Tip of the Day!" & Spring/Easter Gatherings Wanted!

Here are a few tips for using that Lye Soap from Tuesday's Tutorial!

How useful is Lye Soap?!

1. It's a gentle relief for Poison Ivy or Oak.

2. This is an "old" secret for that Catfish fisherman! Put a small chunk onto your hook & the catfish just love it!

3. This works better than bleach on your whites & stains! So, if your white socks are looking dingy or have a spot on that white shirt, just rub on stain & wash! You can also take and shave some into your wash to brighten up your whole white wash load!

4. Have your "hunter" use this soap before going out to hunt.....As the lather hides human scent!

5. This is great in the summertime for sunburn! Just wash with it instead of perfumed soaps & it will help to soothe that sunburn!

6. Got a problem with bugs on your plants? Well, take a few shavings of this soap into warm water for it to dissolve, shake and spray onto your plants. It won't harm the plants but it will get rid of the bugs!

7. Wash your pets with it! It elliminates ticks, chiggers, fleas and dander on you and your pets!

8. Helps eliminate the yellow color in white hair.

9. Controls dandruff and makes hair shine.

10. Relieve pain and itching from athlete's foot.

11. This is great for getting rid of LICE! Don't buy those expensive kits, just use lye soap! It is not harsh on the hair, yet gets rid of LICE just as well!

12. Mosquitos hate lye soap! So, if you bathe with it during the summer months....mosquitos don't seem to be drawn to you as with perfume soaps!

Spring/Easter Gatherings Wanted!

I know some of you will remember the wonderful Christmas Gathering Slideshow that I had posted before Christmas. Well, I putting together another one, this time for Easter or Spring Gatherings!!! We all love to "show off" our homes or get inspiration from someone elses decorating, so now let's think Easter/Spring!!!

I will do this Slideshow just like I did in the past. All you will need to do is email me your picture(s) of your Gathering, along with your blog link. I will then compile all the pictures I recieve and make them into a slideshow for everyone to enjoy. I will also compile a list of all the blogs that entered, so this is also a good way to get a little exposure to your blog too. You can find my email addy on the right side to send your pictures & link to.

I will be taking pictures up until March 15th, so get them Gatherings together, get out your camera and send me your pictures! It's time to finally THINK SPRING!!!
