It is an off-white colored quilt with Redwork....YES, REDWORK! I LOVE IT!!! It is 100% cotton and done very well! You will never guess where I found it at?! CRACKER BARREL! I was getting ready for work last night and remembered that I had seen quilts before there once when we stopped to eat. So, I left out early to stop by and see if they still have them. I am so glad I did! They had several different styles to choose from and they are very reasonably priced too. I bought the king-sized one for $129 and the queen-sized were priced at only $99!!! So, if you are in search of a quilt, head on over to your local Cracker Barrel...you just might fall in love with one there!
Now, I do have to say...these definately run a little bigger in size. So, if your bed is a Queen size, get that size! I decided to purchase the King size comforter because it was 100% cotton and I never wanted it to shrink when I washed it. Well, these are already oversized I see! So, shrinkage will be fine. I now have to run back to Cracker Barrel tonite and return this one for the smaller size. That is okay though...cuz I wanted the matching $30 shams!!! NOW I WILL GRAB THEM!!! hehehehehehe
I did want to show you what it looks like though anyways. The tag is still on it in the one picture, only because this one is going back. Also, I will tell you that it is a cream color and the red is a deep beautiful Red! Look how beautiful it is!!!

That is an awesome quilt Char!
ReplyDeleteI will have to run over to my Cracker Barrel and see if they offer these too!
That is beautiful - glad you found one you love, and matching shams! Woohoo! :)
ReplyDeleteDoncha just love Cracker Barrel!!??
ReplyDeleteGreat quilt...I'm sure it will be beautiful on your bed.
Beautiful, love the redwork! So does this put quilting on the back burner for awhile? LOL!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful and fresh looking! I LOVE Cracker Barrel!
ReplyDeleteIt's pretty! I love it.
ReplyDeleteI am looking for a new quilt, too, and like you I have considered even making one! LOL I have a few that I like out there that I have seen and even some of them are actually marked down to $50. I just can't justify the money right now, so I keep waiting....one day! I think waiting is half the fun!
Have a great day :)

Oh beautiful, I love redwork. I love quilts. I have several, but one I won't use...I bought one 5 yrs ago while in Lancaster, PA, we past a house that had a sign out front saying Homemade quilts. She had a front room full, and she made them all on a pedal type sewing machine. I bought one, but I just can't bring myself to put a $500.00 quilt on my bed and sleep under it...it was my retirement spurge. I will have to head over to CB and see if they have them at ours, I've never seen them there before
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful Char. I've never seen them at our Cracker Barrell - I think they market things differently in different areas.
ReplyDeleteI did purchase a lime green quilted throw there last year and love it.

Love your quilt--They make those quilts in Shepherdsville Kentucky. I use to work down the street from the factory---It is a Donna Sharpe- correct? There is also a retail store "House of Quilts" off exit 116 on 65 in Shepherdsville--you can sometimes get those quilts from $40.00 and up, depending on size. Check it out, at that price get a few to change out in the year. Great choice on your beautiful quilt.
